Due to the number of international media accreditation applications we receive, certain procedures are in place to ensure a positive experience for journalists who need to file their stories, while also ensuring the safety of our athletes.
Please read the information below before submitting your Media Accreditation application.
Media accreditation is not guaranteed and will only be awarded to journalists from recognised media houses that can guarantee relevant event publicity.
Freelancers are required to submit a letter from their commissioning editor, detailing the nature of the article / broadcast insert.
Photographers may only take pictures for use in their commissioning publications. Event photographs may not be sold.
Only accredited photographers and videographers will be granted access to the photography zone at the finish line. Preference is given to the event’s official photographers and videographers.
Motorbike and water access will be available to select accredited media.
The CHALLENGECAPETOWN Media Office will supply visuals free of charge after the event.
There will be a small Media Centre in the Race Village where you can:
* File your stories and/or photographs.
* Look up the details of athletes you have photographed.
* Receive race results.
