CHALLENGECAPETOWN takes place on Sunday, 10 November 2019. This is the first middle distance triathlon (1.9km swim, 90km cycle, 21km run) in the Mother City, and a major event on the City of Cape Town’s event calendar – attracting recreational and professional triathletes from across the world, and with a positive economic impact on the City.
Start: 1.9km Swim at the Big Bay Surf Lifesaving Club.
Cycle: 90km Cycle – 3 loops between Atlantic Beach Golf Estate and Dolphin Beach Hotel; R27 along the MyCiti Bus lane through Paarden Eiland, into the Cape Town CBD and along Adderley Street to Company’s Garden.
Run: 3 x 7km loops in Zonnebloem / District Six Precinct, passing the Castle of Good Hope
The Race Village at Cape Town High School opens at 5am and closes at 5pm. A Fun Run will also take place along the triathlon Run route from 7h45.
Traffic will be managed by the City of Cape Town Traffic Authorities and Marshals to ensure participant and public safety, and to assist you in case of an emergency.
